Father, to Thee I raise my whole being,

About Frances Nuttall
Frances Nuttall was born in 1892 in India of English parents, her father being a well-known architect and water-diviner, and her grandfather the Government Astronomer in Madras, Norman Pogson.
She was a gifted artist and calligrapher, being a Fellow of the Society of Scribes and Illuminators. She did many wonderful calligraphic works and illuminations in the manner of the Celtic scribes, as well as combining this work with book binding and leather work. In later life she became more involved in her mystical interests and moved to Glastonbury where she was much involved in the
Chalice Well Trust and the early Glastonbury movement. She did a rather wonderful painting of Joseph of Arimathea. She died in Glastonbury in 1983.
